Trachoma Project

Our Trachoma Project

Trachoma infects up to 45% of the children and if untreated causes a very painful blindness. Our program examines, medicates, educates the children, performs surgeries as required and provides clean water for them and their families.

Orthopedic Project

Our Orthopedic Project

The Foundation provides funding for 100 operations annually for the children who need orthopedic surgeries and in October 2006 we opened the residence that we built to house the families of the children needing an operation and we look after the operating costs annually.

Distribution Projects

Our Distribution Project

The villagers in the Gwembe Valley are desparate for even the simplest of supplies and the Foundation collects t-shirts and school materials from children and others in Canada and distributes them in Zambia each year.

Cataract Project

Our Cataract Project

The Foundation continues to look after many of the cataract surgeries ($50 per operation) and has also put in place a procedure to look after emergencies as they occur in the remote Gwembe Valley.

Chishawasha Orphanage

Chishawasha Orphanage

There is a tremendous need to look after the growing number of orphans and we are pleased to support this orphanage that when completed will give a home to over 70 children.

Light Up The Gwembe Valley

Light Up The Gwembe Valley

In partnership with 'Light Up The World' we are continuing to evaluate providing solar lighting to the Gwembe Valley.

Community School

Community School Project

On a trial basis the Foundation will build two small schools in the Gwembe Valley one at Munakandi and the other at Malobe.

Health Post
